What is the purpose of making a ritual?
In this episode I talk about the difference between routine and ritual. I go over my own morning ritual and how that makes for a good start to my day. I set an intention with how I want my energy to feel that day. And this ritual supports me for the rest of the day. This is key for most Highly sensitive, empathic women. Our energy is often bombarded by other influences.
I continue on this theme of ritual by talking about what is the purpose of a ritual is to create space for something that we deem important. That's my easy definition for it. It is quite different than creating a routine. In a ritual, we must slow down, be present and regard our rituals with a sense of purpose & meaning. There is a sort of sacredness to it. When I looked up the meaning of ritual this was what I learned: "A ceremony in which actions and wording follow a prescribed order and form."
I also talk about what makes a strong ritual by choosing a focus or as I say, drivers. Such as, to Manifest, to Release, to Honor. I use a personal example as a way to deconstruct how to create a ritual. If I ever get that Mustang I will let you know! 😄
Psst! Today I'm opening a brand new program called, Let's get Ritual. This online program is a do-it-yourself program with 4 video instructions & a workbook to take notes on how you could create your own ritual. See below.
